    U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Scott Marshall, 19th Logistics Readiness Squadron NCO in charge of mobility readiness spares packages, along with his wife, Angie, recently began creating face shields with a 3D printer. They donate the face shields to healthcare workers at the 19th Medical Group and medical professionals in the local community.

  • Innovation funds propel 92nd LRS, save AF money

    The 92nd Logistics Readiness Squadron was recently awarded innovation funds to pursue a state-of-the-art oil analyzer to improve vehicle maintenance flight operations and save the Air Force approximately $35,000 per year. The idea was first presented at Team Fairchild’s Inland Spark Pitch competition June 2019, and although it wasn’t one of the winning ideas, the squadron still received funds due to the product’s features and potential savings.

    Airmen participated in a Team Fairchild Energy Innovation Spark Tank event hosted by the 92nd Civil Engineer Squadron, Oct. 29, at the Red Morgan Center. All Airmen were welcome to pitch their innovative energy ideas to a panel that consisted of 92nd CES leadership, energy management and environmental office representatives who play a critical role in implementing energy conservation actions.

    Team Fairchild hosted the third annual Leaders Inspiring for Tomorrow summit April 19 at the base theater, with this year’s topic focused on inspiring innovation. This year’s summit consisted of seven speakers ranging from retired military, active duty, business executives, and civilians with ties to the local area. Each speaker shared their stories of innovative success and how to develop a culture of innovation.
