Airmen from Fairchild’s 384th Air Refueling Squadron supported a KC-46A Pegasus during a training operation with a B-52 Stratofortress in the Northwest region of the United States, Oct. 3, 2018. U.S. military personnel actively operate within areas that maintain the capability to employ these agents, making individual protective equipment imperative to mission readiness. Fairchild aircrew members performed the first-ever test of the Joint Service Aircrew Mask on a KC-135 Stratotanker during a night-flight July 17.
  • Travis says goodbye to Col. John Klein, welcomes Col. Ethan Griffin as new base commander

They, among many Airmen around Travis Air Force Base, California, were given the opportunity to bid a final farewell to departing 60th AMW commander, Col. John Klein, as well as welcome his replacement, incoming 60th AMW commander, Col. Ethan Griffin, during a change of command ceremony July 10.

Team Fairchild’s KC-135 Stratotanker was hard at work refueling six of the U.S. Air Force’s latest fifth-generation fighters, the F-35A Lightning II, over the Pacific Northwest Oct. 17.
