Team Beale showcases U-2 Dragon Lady at the nation’s premiere airshow
U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Brian Westmoreland, 9th Maintenance Squadron aircraft fuel systems repair technician, installs a pogo block onto a U-2 Dragon Lady wing prior to pogo installation at Oshkosh, Wisconsin, July 22, 2025. The pogos are used to support the wings and balance the aircraft while taxiing. The U-2 landed one day before the beginning of Experimental Aircraft Association AirVenture Oshkosh 2025, and remained on static display for the duration of the airshow, allowing attendees to learn more about the high-altitude intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft.
