From D+2 Onward - The Aerial Victories of the 142nd Wing
Maj. Edwin D. “Jessie” Taylor commanded the 406th Fighter Squadron, 1943-1944. He flew in Royal Air Force No. 133 (Eagle) Squadron before the US entry into World War II. The American Air Museum in Britain caption for this photo indicates Taylor achieved three aerial victories in his RAF service. He filed additional claims for 2.5 enemy aircraft in his 371st Fighter Group service in a 28 July 1944 dogfight, but these were apparently not credited to him. (American Air Museum in Britain)
