Cannon AFB opens new PFAS treatment facility
State and federal representatives along with key community leaders tour the new per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, treatment facility at Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico, May 20, 2025. In an effort to remove PFAS, contamination in water near Cannon AFB, the U.S. Air Force Civil Engineer Center opened a treatment facility on the installation which aims to mitigate any further off-base migration of PFAS.
