605th AMXS brings ‘fuel to the fight’ supporting KC-46A operations
U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Jeremy Kamai, 605th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron hydraulics craftsman, removes the boom latch compartment access cover inside the KC-46A Pegasus aircraft to complete a time compliance technical order at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., Jan. 14, 2025. The TCTO required removing, disassembling, cleaning and testing the force required to actuate the hook on the latch assembly for the boom to ensure the latch will not seize or bind during the stowing operations after the flight crew is done using the boom in flight.
