Family members of U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Derek Salmi, 60th Air Mobility Wing commander, pin his new rank at Travis Air Force Base, California, Jan. 4, 2024. Salmi commissioned from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1998 after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in political science.
