6th Airlift Squadron increases lethality to become AFFORGEN ready
Airmen assigned to the 305th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and 621st Contingency Response Wing refuel a C-17 Globemaster prior to a tactical sortie on Joint Base Langley-Eustis, V.A., Sept. 28, 2022. Aircrew assigned to the 305th Air Mobility Wing went through a two-week tactics advancement course to assist in the transition to Mobility Air Force Force Generation model, which will increase the high-end readiness necessary to deploy as cohesive units and deliver Rapid Global Mobility in support of combatant commanders, the Joint Force, and our allies and partners to meet National Defense Strategy requirements. The training allowed pilots and loadmasters to learn and apply newly developed tactics, techniques and procedures, integrate with F-22 Raptors assigned to the 27th Fighter Squadron in simulated combat sorties and also simulate rapid on and off loading with the 621st Contingency Response Wing.
