Corregidor Island: 19th AW Airmen honor a legacy of heroes
Airmen from the 41st Airlift Squadron and 19th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron visited U.S. Army Air Forces Sgt. R.L. Tyler’s grave at the Manila American Cemetery in Minila, Philippines, Feb. 18, 2020. In 1942, Tyler was a member of Headquarters Squadron, 19th Bombardment Group, when Japanese forces invaded the Philippine Islands during World War II and was captured as a prisoner of war.
