USTRANSCOM commander visits JB Charleston
Army Gen. Stephen Lyons, commander of U.S. Transportation Command, presents his official coin to Air Force Staff Sgt. Samantha Webber, 628th Medical Group mental health supervisor, Dec. 6, 2018, at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. JB Charleston leadership selected several service members across the installation to be recognized at a coining ceremony during Lyons’ visit. USTRANSCOM is a unified, functional combatant command that provides support to the nine other U.S. combatant commands, the military services, defense agencies and other government organizations. As commander, Lyons is responsible for delivering globally-integrated mobility, deployment and distribution solutions and enabling capabilities for full-spectrum requirements in support of national objectives. JB Charleston hosts service members and civilians from all branches who support USTRANSCOM’s global missions through air, land and sea.
