McChord delivers personnel and equipment during WinFly

Aerospace ground equipment heaters, heats up a McChord C-17 Globemaster III during WinFly Aug. 27, 2016 at McMurdo Station, Antarctica. The temperature in Antarctica was -39C and the heaters were used to keep the aircraft and its systems functioning properly. The Air Force is uniquely equipped and trained to operate in such an austere environment and has provided support to U.S. Antarctic research since 1955. (Courtesy photo)
