    The Airmen of the 60th Air Mobility Wing delivered COVID-19 personal protective equipment and humanitarian aid bound for two separate combatant commands. The Port Dawgs of the 60th Aerial Port Squadron and the Beeliners of the 21st Airlift Squadron stepped in to tackle two separate missions, helping deliver supplies to two different combatant commands using one C-17 Globemaster III.

After thousands of hours and countless resources spent on humanitarian response, one might expect the base to take a break, taper off for the holiday season and recharge for the mission demands that are bound to come in the new year. Instead, the opposite is true.

    Travis AFB supports FEMA in California wildfire mission

    At the request of the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency, Travis Air Force Base was designated an installation support base during the response to the Atlas Fire, which has spread across Northern California since Oct. 8, 2017.
