JB Charleston deploys TIS in support of Mobility Guardian
Staff Sgt. Bridgette Brzezinski, 628th Aerospace Medicine Squadron NCO in charge of environmental medicine, checks for negative air pressure in a transportation isolation system as part of her preflight checklist at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. Aug. 3, 2017. The negative pressure helps contain any infectious diseases within the TIS. The TIS is designed to provide aeromedical evacuation for patients with known or suspected exposure to a contagious or infectious disease while protecting aircraft and aircrew. The TIS was deployed to facilitate aeromedical evacuation aspects of Mobility Guardian, Air Mobility Command’s premier exercise.
