437th Airlift Wing evacuates C-17s

A maintainer from the 437th Air Craft Maintenance Squadron marshals out a Joint Base Charleston C-17 Globemaster III as it is evacuated to Fort Campbell, KY on Oct. 6, 2016 to continue the mission of rapid global mobility during Hurricane Matthew. Due to Hurricane Matthew, a Limited Evacuation Order of South Carolina Hurricane Evacuation Zones was issued by the Commander, Joint Base Charleston. All Joint Base personnel are expected to evacuate the area and will return once damage is assessed and it’s safe to return.
