    One aircraft, two missions: Travis AFB C-17 delivers aid to support two COCOMs

    The Airmen of the 60th Air Mobility Wing delivered COVID-19 personal protective equipment and humanitarian aid bound for two separate combatant commands. The Port Dawgs of the 60th Aerial Port Squadron and the Beeliners of the 21st Airlift Squadron stepped in to tackle two separate missions, helping deliver supplies to two different combatant commands using one C-17 Globemaster III.

    Success follows Fort Sill joint training exercise

    Fairchild Airmen perform first test of new chemical defense mask on KC-135

    In the midst of calm or chaos, there lies a potential for aircrews to fight the faceless combatants of chemical and biological agents. U.S. military personnel actively operate within areas that maintain the capability to employ these agents, making individual protective equipment imperative to mission readiness. Fairchild aircrew members performed the first-ever test of the Joint Service Aircrew Mask on a KC-135 Stratotanker during a night-flight July 17.

    U.S. Air Force heavy airlift was called upon to support approximately 200 Soldiers, Airmen and Marines from Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Southern Command and Joint Task Force-Bravo who deployed this week with two CH-53E Super Stallion, three CH-47 Chinook, and two UH-60L and two HH-60L Black Hawk helicopters to provide heavy and medium lift to support the U.S. Agency for International Development-led mission to alleviate human suffering and bolster Haitian disaster response capabilities.
